Kitten Room

A warm first step into school.

The Kitten Room is a cozy first step into school for toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years. Starting preschool is a big milestone! In the Kitten Room, potty training is NOT required for enrollment. Our teachers actively support toddlers in diapers, guide families through smooth morning transitions, and partner with parents on potty training when your child shows readiness.

Developmental Care

How we support our youngest children

  • Warm separation support and individualized care to help toddlers transition comfortably into school
  • Patient, active help with potty training, toilet routines, and diapers in close partnership with parents
  • Comforting daily routines during arrival, snacks, sensory play, circle time, and outdoor play
  • Plenty of hands-on sensory exploration with water, sand, playdough, paint, music, and story time
Parent Participation

Co-op Expectations in the Kitten Room

On classroom workdays, parents help comfort children, supervise play, support snack and lunch, and help keep the room calm and organized.

New to co-oping? The Director and teachers explain what to do each morning and help you learn how to support the children during your workday.
